The Embassy of Latvia participated in the annual Flower Show at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, held on May 4 and 5, 2007. Ms. Nora Brunina prepared a floral display, entitled "Dievs, sveti Latviju!" ("God Bless Latvia"). The floral composition was in honor of the 85th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Latvia and the United States. During the Flower Show, floral arrangements from various countries - including Latvia - were on display inside the National Cathedral.
