On September 19, 2008 the Embassy of Latvia participated in the Euro Night event at the Embassy of France. Representatives from the Embassy of Latvia passed out information on Latvia, as well as offered guests the opportunity to taste "Latvijas balzāms" and "pīrāgi" (Latvian-style bacon rolls). Members of all European Union countries participated and the event was attended by approximately 1000 people.
