On Saturday, May 9, 2009 the Embassy of Latvia's doors were open to visitors for the Open House/"Europe Week". Nearly 4000 vistors passed through the doors of the historic Alice Pike Barney Studio House. The Washington-area folklore ensemble "Sudrabavots" performed during the Open House. Guests also had the opportunity to view an exhibit of contemporary sculpture, on exhibit in the building next door.
