On Saturday, May 8 the Embassy opened its doors to visitors for the annual European Union Embassies' Open House Day.
Approximately 3,500 visitors toured the Embassy's interior - the historic Alice Pike Barney Studio House - as well as enjoyed performances by the Washington-area folk singing group “Sudrabavots” and Latvian folk dances performed by the Washington, DC-area folk dancing troupe “Namejs,” seen in above photo.
The public also had the opportunity to view the photography exhibit “Latvian Landscapes: The Road Less Traveled” by Matthew Blong, in the Embassy’s building next door.
