On February 13, 2007 the Embassy of Latvia, in conjunction with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency's Washington bureau, jointly organized an event entitled "Business Forecast 2007." This event is part of a series held by the Alumni Club of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. More than 60 well-known American business leaders, as well as professors and alumni of the University of Chicago School of Business discussed a variety of economic and political factors expected to influence the business world in 2007. The guest of honor was Robert Z. Aliber, the author of a number of books on economics and business and a professor of international economics and finance at the School of Business.
