On March 25 Ambassador Andrejs Pildegovics and other diplomats from the Embassy of Latvia attended an event on Capitol Hill in honor of NATO and its enlargement. Presentations were made by Members of Congress and current and past Administration officials, who expressed their support in strengthening NATO and U.S. relations with the countries of Central and East Europe. The Ambassador had the opportunity to meet Senators Voinovich and Mikulski, US Ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker and former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski.
